OUT OF WHACK

To date I have strived to find beauty,

balance and a bit of whimsy wherever life takes me.

But lately, I have the urge to take things further, to tear things apart,

to disrupt the order of things much as 'climate change' and relentless greed

are disrupting the natural order of things,

throwing everything out of whack.

Like the surrealists,

I'm experimenting with scale and perspective,

Cutting up my precious photographs and rearranging things.

Some images as blank canvases while others are boxes

of elements or toys for me to play with.

As instability spreads like wildfire on so many fronts,

things are shifting, tilting aschew.

So I'm holding on, adapting, taking another look.
